Korean calligraphy and craftwork 


Exhibition | In commemoration of March 1st Independence holiday, Korean consulate in Washington DC exhibits the artworks of Korean-calligraphy and crafts. Myoung-won Kown, a Korean-calligraphy artist, displays 10 of his artworks with the words of the independence activists. Dae-sik Choi, a craftsman, will exhibit his collage artworks expressing Korean culture.

Treasures from Korea


Exhibition | A huge scale of national treasure collection from Joseon dynasty has been exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. With the title of ‘Treasures from Korea: Arts and Culture of the Joseon Dynasty’, this unprecedented exhibition comprises of around 150 works drawn from the National Museum of Korea. This exhibition introduces vivid and colorful works, ranging from screen paintings to calligraphy, illustrating 500 year records of Joeson Dynasty.

Dynamic Duo


Performance | Dynamic Duo, the hip-hop duo that consists of Choiza and Gaeko, is one of the most well-known and prolific groups to ever come out of Korea. The released their debut Taxi Driver in 2004 with much fanfare and it quickly became the best-selling album in Korea.
