Petit Concert Series: 2016 Open Call for Musicians

The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce an Open Call for Musicians for the 2016 season of the Petit Concert Series. Interested musicians and ensembles are encouraged to apply for this opportunity to represent Korea and Korea-US cultural ties through a unique embassy performance program.

The Petit Concert Series, hosted by the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea since 2014, presents exceptional musicians from Korea and the United States performing classical, Korean, and world music for an international audience in an intimate embassy setting. Welcoming staff of Washington, D.C. embassies, cultural centers, international organizations, academia, and government offices, the program aims to accomplish a uniquely Washingtonian form of cultural diplomacy and networking. Participants are invited to meet diplomatic neighbors and colleagues from around the world while building new relationships through a shared appreciation of great music that transcends borders.

Each Petit Concert Series program features a 30-minute performance at the Korean Cultural Center for approximately 30-50 guests beginning at 12 noon, followed by a Korean lunch and networking reception until 1:30 p.m. Programs are held approximately quarterly throughout the year.
