Join choreographer Eunju Shin and SHIN Dance Company for the first showcase of OnStage Korea’s 2018 season, presented by the KCC, which continues to celebrate the diversity and excellence of Korean performing arts. In their DC premiere, this creative Korean dance group will perform Touching Time, showcasing Korean contemporary and signature movement styles while exploring how deep themes of Eastern philosophy can play a role in today's modern world.

For the company’s US premiere, SHIN Dance Company performs Touching Time, a vividly imagined original dance work that weaves together contemporary style with iconic Korean traditional movement and deep themes of Eastern philosophy. The idea of coexistence between life and death forms a central theme of the work, with the past and future often intersecting with the present through the flowing nature of time. Touching Time asks audience and performers to reimagine the significance of life in this context, where a multitude of personal connections and relationships help define each individual. Acclaimed choreographer Eunju Shin strives to touch upon untouchable answers to these deep questions through a modern, Korean-style dance interpretation that reflects today’s rapidly changing society, while simultaneously blending tradition, sensual movement, and dynamic physicality.
