K-Cinema Screening & Social: A Day (Jan. 10 & 24)

Kim Joon Young (Kim Myung-min) is an outstanding surgeon but a less-than-stellar father to young daughter Eun Jung (Jo Eun-hyung). After a flight home, Joon Young witnesses the death of his daughter in a traffic accident, followed by another terrible fate: his day repeats itself, always with the same tragic outcome. Desperate to find the reason and prevent her death each time, he connects with ambulance driver Lee Min Chul (Byun Yo-han) as they attempt to break the mysterious loop.

Director Cho Sun-ho's taught thriller A Day (2017) was awarded at several international fantastic film festivals for it's compelling and tense take on the time loop genre.
